RUSSELL WOODS REMODEL WITH HAMPTONS GLAM ROOTS
The primary motivation of these Lakeshore empty nesters was to update the look of their stately waterfront home. Remodeling the kitchen, back-entry, guest bathroom, family room, family dining area, and back-staircase brought them in line with their vision for their new lifestyle: new porcelain tile floors, in greige, support the desired Hamptons Glam aesthetic. Our crisp cabinetry in painted white, featuring elegant trim work and bespoke custom made mantle piece provides focal points that set the stage for the room's finishing touches. Our custom crafted coffering was the perfect canopy for sparkling glass chandeliers. Classic white beveled subway tiles used on the backsplash create a seamless transition from the white cabinets to the white countertop. Gracing the countertops is a white marble-look quartz—retaining simple elegance and durability around the perimeter—and Cosmopolitan granite with ogee edging adds sophistication to the island. Opposite the kitchen is the family room area overlooking Lake St. Clair, featuring a custom shiplap ceiling and new hardwood floors to compliment the kitchen. The back-staircase off the kitchen and family room was refreshed by removing the existing carpeting. Treads, newel post, and stair railing were re-stained a rich java. Risers and spindles were given a white clean coat of paint.
